Barsac A.O.C.
Historical past since the 10th century under the privilege of the Royal Provost of Barsac
aoc barsac This appellation is situated right at the junction of the Ciron and the Garonne, an ideal situation for the development of botrytis cinerea.

In this village alone we find 10 Crus classified in 1855 (2 First Growth and 8 Second Growth).

This AOC is split into two types of soils : old alluvia (Gunz gravel) and a clay and limestone plateau with chalk subsoil where we find the oldest vintages.

Main features of Barsac : well-developed bouquet, full and deep nose, more lively than Sauternes, and a golden yellow hue; its fruity aromas of acacia honey and white peach slowly develop to produce a well-balanced and harmonious wine.
